In this latest People Spotlight, we’re highlighting Tony Brown, who has recently moved into a new role within the business.
During his time as Milling Manager, Tony played a key role in strengthening the department’s capability, improving workflow structure, supporting programming development, and helping the team deliver increasingly complex components with consistency and confidence. His focus on process improvement and cross‑department collaboration has contributed to smoother production flow and better utilisation of Technoturn’s machining capacity.

This diverse skill set has enabled Tony to play an important role in keeping operations running efficiently while ensuring projects meet the high standards customers expect from Technoturn.
Operating from Technoturn’s facility in St Leonards-on-Sea, Tony’s work contributes directly to the company’s ability to deliver high-precision machined components and assemblies for industries including aerospace, motorsport, telecommunications and defence.
His hands-on experience with programming, planning and workshop development helps ensure the team can continue producing complex components with accuracy, reliability and efficiency.
As part of Technoturn’s continued development, Tony has recently transitioned into the role of Site Manager.
This move reflects his deep understanding of the company’s operations and his ability to connect technical understanding with practical production and commercial planning. In this new position, Tony will focus on strengthening workflow, improving cross‑department coordination, and supporting the long‑term development of the site’s operational and commercial capability. His aim is to build on the progress made within the milling department and apply the same structured, improvement‑driven approach across the wider business.
Speaking about the transition, Tony said:
“Technoturn has always encouraged people to grow and take on new challenges. I started here as a programmer/setter, moved into a supervisor role and then into Milling Manager, where I focused on strengthening processes and supporting the team. This new role gives me the chance to build on that journey and help drive improvements across the whole site, making sure we continue to deliver the best possible service for our customers.”
